Poor is a state of mind.

I’ve had A LOT of broke days,

Never been poor.

But I have known people to have their own land, given a home, travel all the time and get their clothes taylor made and still be poor.

Poor in spirit.

Poor in character.

Poor in Love.

So if you have people in your life that love you unconditionally and been blessed by God, then you are richer than A LOT.

Struggles build character.

Downtrodden reveals spirit.

Truth is love.

I have been homeless more than I can count, kicked to the curb, slept on floors (more than once) lived in the projects. Lost everything (including a child) I’ve had to rebuild my life more than I can count.

So next time you see a person living on the streets, don’t think you are richer than them. Because, the truth is their heart may be bigger than your pocketbook. And that’s something you can’t buy. ❤️

I’m not better. I know better.
